Hunger interrupts learning
- Child hunger and malnutrition remain urgent realities.
- Children often miss school because they cannot access regular meals.
Mama Doing Good is a community-driven initiative dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families through nutrition, education, access to clean water, and community empowerment. Through the Joyful Women Organization, Voice of Children, and Tuombeni Kenya, Mama Doing Good supports practical programs that uplift communities, strengthen families, and restore hope.
Many children in underserved communities face hunger, limited educational opportunities, and lack access to safe water. Through targeted interventions, these initiatives provide sustainable solutions that help children stay healthy, remain in school, and build a better future.
Many communities in Kenya continue to face child hunger and malnutrition, limited access to safe drinking water, barriers to quality education, and poverty affecting vulnerable families. As a result, many children miss school due to hunger or the need to fetch water for their households, perpetuating cycles of poverty.
Each program is designed to deliver practical, lasting support that helps children thrive, families stabilize, and communities grow stronger.
Providing daily nutritious meals to vulnerable children.
Expanding access to safe water through boreholes, rainwater harvesting, water filters, and hygiene education.
Providing school supplies, uniforms, and scholarships for disadvantaged students.
Supporting vulnerable children through counseling, child rights education, and community awareness.
Providing skills training and small business support for mothers and families.
Progress will be monitored through regular reporting on children served, water access, and community outcomes. Programs are sustained through community participation, partnerships with schools and local leaders, and family empowerment initiatives.
